John Luke Caroll
John Caroll joined the MicroInsurance Centre at Milliman in August 2019. Since then, he has worked as a project manager on client projects, including client communications, consultant coordination, project backstopping, research, and implementation support. In 2022, he began supporting consulting activities more actively in microinsurance, including conducting and organizing primary and secondary research, analyzing data, drafting deliverables, and supporting product development and strategy recommendations.
Experience
While working with the Microinsurance Centre at Milliman, he has worked with microinsurance projects in eight developing countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America as a project manager, and has grown to support and lead consulting activities. Prior to MIC@M, he spent almost eight years working in the development field in rural Nicaragua. John’s work focused on managing programs that assess rural community needs and responding by implementating sustainable projects with a focus on in public health, clean water, and sanitation. His experience and skills developed in the field have enabled him to support microinsurance projects from a developmental perspective.
John’s passion is to empower low-income populations to better protect the wellbeing of their families and communities. John divides his time between living in Wisconsin and Managua, Nicaragua.
