Jemma Maclear
Jemma Maclear joined the MicroInsurance Centre at Milliman in February 2022 as a project manager. Within her projects, she manages the timelines, scopes, and budgets to ensure successful outcomes. Jemma also plays a supporting role with desk research and report writing for microinsurance client deliverables, by considering gender equity and climate action throughout all of her work products. She is based in Cape Town, South Africa.
Experience
Jemma has four years of experience in non-profit organizations on financial inclusion and microinsurance development. She was a coordinator of the Landscape of Microinsurance in Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean, and also participated in the Microinsurance Master Accelerator Program. Jemma has conducted demand and supply-side research (quantitative and qualitative) and has contributed to country diagnostics as a research analyst with the Microinsurance Network. She also engaged via digital platforms to develop solutions through her extensive research with Cenfri.
