About us
Our mission
Low-income people across the globe need effective microinsurance and risk management solutions. As a passionate and interdisciplinary team, we partner to develop and advise on creative and valuable solutions covering a full range of risks for low-income populations. We always raise our voices to ensure that low-income people are not left out.
The magical balance
Microinsurance succeeds when insurers and distributors achieve reasonable, sustainable profit with products that provide clear value for low-income customers. These interests must be in balance.
Risk management 360
Insurance is one component of a broader risk management approach that is necessary for low-income populations to successfully manage their financial risks. We call our approach Risk Management 360 (RM360).
SUAVE
The most successful microinsurance products are SUAVE: Simple, Understood, Accessible, Valuable, and Efficient. We work with institutions to ensure that each of their products has these critical characteristics.
Evolution of products
Products must evolve according to the needs of low-income customers through continuous innovation, improvement, and new offerings.
Local capacity
We transfer skills to our partners and clients so they can drive microinsurance evolution even after our engagement ends.
